The construction of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre for Chemistry has entered an advanced phase. The structure is now clearly emerging above ground level.
Completed stages of work:
To date, key preparatory and structural stages have been completed.
That includes:
- construction site preparation:
– demolition of the administrative building,
– demolition of the connector building,
– demolition of the swimming pool building, - reconstruction of underground utility networks beneath the site,
- construction of a cut-off wall,
- piling works and foundations for the main building and the underground garage,
- construction of the underground section of the facility (garage),
- completion of vertical structural elements at level 0,
- construction of a rainwater retention tank.
The current works include:
The current progress of works focuses on further structural and installation
stages:
- construction of floor slabs above ground level (level 0),
- erection of vertical structural elements at level +1,
- installation works in the underground garage:
– water and sewage system,
– electrical system, - waterproofing and insulation of garage walls and backfilling around the building.
Upcoming stages:
In the coming period, the works will focus on:
- continued construction of upper floors,
- installation of internal systems:
– water and sewage,
– electrical,
– ventilation, - masonry works – construction of internal partition walls,
- site organisation and gradual landscaping of the surrounding area.
